I have information on this line from the ALLASON of Mosser pedigree (no 10) compiled by James Gorton Brooker - also 52 (Robinson of Pardshaw), 102 (Robinson of Greysouthen), and 121 (Robinson of Hill in Mosser (Beech Hill)). I also have further information from the biographical notes to The Diary of Isaac Fletcher, ed Angus Winchester. In the notes below I will refer to these sources as Brooker (with number) and Winchester.

6. Mary ALLASON (1780-1839) who married Joseph ROBINSON

Mary is shown to be the wife of Joseph ROBINSON and mother of Deborah by the Quaker records of Deborah's birth and Mary and Joseph's marriage. Mary's parentage is also recorded in the marriage which enables us to find her birth in Quaker records. These records are all from Pardshaw monthly meeting. The smallish population involved and the detail about family relationships and places of residence enable us to be sure that we have the right records.

In secondary sources, Mary is shown in Brooker pedigrees 102 and 121 (which also gives her date of death) as well as the Allason of Mosser pedigree.

7b. William (1734-1801) and Mary (1743-1821) of Mossergate

William and Mary are shown to be parents of Mary born 1780 by the Quaker records of her marriage and birth. The marriage record, from 1806 also supports the death dates by stating that William is dead and Mary surviving. Further detail provided by these records includes the residence at Mossergate and William's yeoman status. William and Mary's children are also in Quaker records, confirming their marriage and residence.

William's marriages are also both in Quaker records. The second one supports his residence and status.

Secondary sources also support this interpretation of the records. Brooker shows William in pedigrees 10, 52 and 121; 52 refers to the residence as 'High Mosser (Mosser Gate)'. Brooker 10 and 121 have their children, or most of them. William is mentioned in Winchester's biographical notes, giving his two marriages and land acquisitions (Brooker 10 says 'sold Mossergate land 1772'). I rely on Winchester and on Brooker 10 for his date of death, though I expect I'll find it when I look in the Quaker burial register online. Likewise I'm taking Brooker 10 and 52 for Mary's date of death. 52 gives the place as High Mosser.

7a. William (1734-1801) and Mary (d. 1768) of Mossergate

I'm relying on Brooker 10 and Winchester for William's first marriage, his son John and the death of his first wife - I noted the Quaker marriage record from the online RG6 index but I didn't get all the details because I was looking for the marriage ancestral to me.

8. John (d 1746) and Esther (d 1767) of Mossergate

I have William's parentage from Brooker 10 - need to confirm by finding his birth record - perhaps need an age at death or something to add confidence to that. That tree says that Esther was probably Esther WOOD of Graithwaite, but I haven't checked this yet - look in Quaker registers or failing that C of E. Should be some marriage record at this date?

Brooker 10 puts John's death 'before 1763' - I'm inferring about 1746 because Winchester says that is when William inherited land. Look for a probate record or whatever might be the source for this?
