So far, I owe everything I know about this line to Neville Ramsden, a local and highly productive genealogist.
Henry VICARS and Sarah (nee ASHBURNER) were the parents of Ann VICARS.
Ann was born (or perhaps more likely baptised) on 10 August 1718 in Haile, south-west Cumberland. She married John MOSCROP in Haile in 1742/3. Interestingly enough, two of their sons became vicars (well, one a perpetual curate, but close enough).
