So far, I owe everything I know about this line to John M Wilson, a fellow descendant of the line and genealogist. I don't think he has a website I can point to, so I'll put the information up here.

John NICHOLSON married Bridget MOSCROP in January 1666/67* in Gosforth, south-west Cumberland.

Their son John NICHOLSON was baptised in 1669 in Gosforth.

His daughter Jane NICHOLSON was baptised in Gosforth in 1697 and married Abraham COLEBANK in Gosforth in 1718. She died in 1741 and was buried in Gosforth.

*That's a date notation from the period when England used an old-fashioned calendar called the Julian calendar. The year began on 25 March. So for a date between 1 January and 24 March, people would have used the number of the 'previous' year. In this case, the January is the January before April 1667. Because 1666 hadn't ended (according to the old Julian calendar), people at the time would have called it January 1666. But people these days often modernise the date to January 1667. I say January 1666/7.
