I have two generations of this NICHOLSON line, though I'm entirely endebted to Julian Gill for the information and haven't yet followed it up myself. Julian has a website here.
Francis NICHOLSON - mid-18th century.
His daughter Alice NICHOLSON (b abt 1754 in Aikton, which is west of Carlisle, Cumberland), married (1781) Robert JEFFERSON.
