I was told by a fellow-researcher and distant cousin, Sheila Lawson, that Margaret CRAIG was born about 1816 or 1817 in Whitehaven on the west coast of Cumberland. She married Taylor SWAINSON at Whitehaven in 1836. She died in 1853.
