Most of my information on this line comes from the very kind John M Wilson, who has researched our common ancestry. Many thanks to him. I'll mention information that I can independently corroborate as I write this up fully but, unless I say otherwise, he's my source.

Abraham COLEBANK is thought to have been born about 1695. He married (1718) Jane NICHOLSON in Gosforth in south-west Cumberland - they appear in the parish register as CALDBECK. He was at one stage a mason and at another time a yeoman. He died, and was buried in Gosforth on 5 May 1743. Gosforth seems to have been very much the family parish and events listed here take place there unless otherwise noted.

Abraham and Jane CALDBECK had many children, the eldest of which was Isaac (1719-1790). Isaac married Sarah NICHOLSON.

Isaac and Sarah CALDBECK had several children, the eldest of which was Abraham (1748-1794). Abraham CALBECK married Sarah MOSCROP in 1778.

The youngest of Abraham and Sarah COALBANK/COLEBANK's three known children was Sarah COALBANK (b. 1791). In 1814 she married Henry KITCHIN.
